Here is the "Welcome to Christchurch" sign right in the middle of the downtown square.
Here is the first cathedral we sang at on our tour. This is also located right in the middle of the square. It was a beautiful church, but not quite as good as the one in Notre Dame. I guess once you've seen one cathedral, you've seen them all...or so I've been told. :)
This fountain was located near the town hall. It was so beautiful to look at. It reminded me of a dandelion. This is one of those images you see on all the post cards around there.
Here is the bus that took us everywhere in New Zealand. We rode in it through the mountains on the way to Queenstown. On the way back from there, we were in a huge snow storm and our bus driver, Keith, was able to pull us through. I didn't get a good picture of him...otherwise he would be on here. He was a wonderful bus driver.
Here is a picture of all the little cars they drive in New Zealand. Aren't they cute? :) I guess it makes since though. Their gas is 88 cents per liter. There are 3 liters to the gallon, so what...that's $2.64 per gallon. Sheesh. That would suck!
This is Lake Tekapo. We stopped here for lunch on our way to Queenstown. This will give you a little taste of what New Zealand landscape looks like. It's very majestic.
This is the first man made bungee jumping station in the world, located in Queenstown. It is a bridge suspended between two mountains with a river running below it. You couldn't have payed me to jump off that thing. Four of our guys did it. They're nuts!!! :)
I wish I had more pictures of Queenstown, but the snow was a threat and we left a day early. We only got to be there for 2 days.
I really loved New Zealand. It's such a peaceful country. They have no poisonous snakes or spiders or anything. All the animals there are deported. It's a very safe and friendly place. I hope to go there again some day.
