In spite of the fact that Saturday was a day during which about four inches of rain fell on the Collett-McKay picnic grounds and severe winds blew down another large sugar maple tree in the grove owned by the Colletts and McKays, nearly 200 members and guests of these two families met and enjoyed the basket dinner and the association together -- but not in the maple grove on the Gurneyville Rd. For the first time the picnic, the 103rd, was held indoors in the Kingman School gymnasium

Mr. Wallace Collett of Cincinnati made some brief announcements before the dinner and then presented Mr. Ellis Rowsey of Huntington, W. Va., who led the group in prayer. The afternoon was spent in chatting, looking at the pictures and accounts of previous picnics, bringing the family tree up to date, and writing greetings to Mr. and Mrs. George Pidgeon who are attending a church convention in Washington, D.C. This is the first picnic that Mrs. Pidgeon (Ruth McKay Denny) has ever missed.

Powell and family of Wheaton, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. David Doster and family and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Doster from West Lafayette, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry W. Swindler of Lexington, Va.; Mr. Thomas H. Talmage, Country Lakes, N.J.; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Sell and family, Lexington, Ky.

Mrs. Marjorie Ames and Saundra of Arcadia, Fla.; Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Schultz and Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Rowsey of Huntington, W. Va.; Mr. and Mrs. Russ Rowsey and family, Holly Hill, Fla.; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rowsey and family of Indianapolis, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Byron Leaser of Westfield, Ind.
