A
MAP OF GASPE
If you are wondering how to get
to Gaspé, take a look at the following map. The route is easy. From
Montreal cross the Champlain Bridge and just stay on highway 138 east.
The first stop most "down homers" (down home is what people from Gaspé
call Gaspé) is Rivière du Loup, which is just after Quebec
city. Further on you can stop in Rimouski. Rimouski offers a wide range
of restaurants that are located just across from the beach. You can get
your lunch and enjoy the smell of fresh sea water. Matane is about 1.5
to 2 hours from Rimouski and it is a beautiful place to visit. This is where
the scenery becomes truly incredible. From Matane to St. Anne des Monts
you are driving your car on a high that carves through the landscape. On
the driver side of your car you will be following the smell of the salt
water. On the passenger side you will see beautiful mountains and an abundance
of trees. Most travelers stop along the side of the road. There is fresh
spring water that falls from the side of the mountains that is drinkable.
Next stop is Gaspé
