Talk On Pregnancy Issues

A consultant gynaecologist, Dr Eric Thum who used to lecture at University
Kebangsaan Malaysia, currently consulting at Assunta, Subang and Sunway
Hospitals and running his own PJ Specialists Women's Centre at Section 14
gave a talk on pregnancy issues at St Ignatius Church training rooms 8,
9, 10 and 11 on the first floor at 10am.
The talk was very insightful. A lot of information useful to first-time
mothers was passed on to us. If only more people had showed up. Those who
didn't attend missed a very rare opportunity.
Refreshments and free gifts were given to those who attended.
Although Fathers Thomas and Phillip were invited, unfortunately, they were
not able to attend.
We received a total Love Offering of RM20.00. This is very much appreciated
as MCG currently, receives no financial support from the Church.
On behalf of MCG, I would like to express my appreciation to SIAM for helping
us out with this event.
I would also like to welcome new members, Vincent and Florence Chow, Gabriel
and Sharon, Christopher Chong and Sarah Chin to the Married Couples Group.
A special appreciation to Lawrence and Nancy, Bash and Annie for their
support. Of course, if it weren't for the hard work of Annie and Charmaine,
I would be hard-pressed to carry out this event. Annie and Charmaine have
been consistently helping me improve on our flyers, feedback form and membership
form. Their ideas have also contributed to the improvement of MCG's online
site at: http://www.communityzero.com/mcgroup. Members are strongly urged
to go to the site as the latest news will always be posted on the notice
board there. The site is also linked to the SIAM site (by clicking Affliates).
A special thanks to Assumption Church, Petaling Jaya for their strong support
given to us by posting our posters on four notice boards at the church, informing
their parishioners via their news bulletin for two weeks and announcing the
talk during their mass.
We appreciate SIC's (St Ignatius Church) help by publishing about the talk
on the news bulletin for two weeks.
I am also very grateful Dr. Eric for spending his free time to give us
an insight into pregnancies.
May the Lord grant His blessings to all these wonderful people. Amen.
