August's Fellowship was another sports-dinner fellowship. This time, we met at
Roy's and Linda's place in Bukit Jalil for a two-hour game of badminton. It
was a great game. It's been about 10 years since my last badminton game.
There's no surprise that I'm now aching all over like a 100-year-old guy.
This is partly due to Lawrence and Roy making me run all over the badminton
court. I think we must have more sporting events to keep all of us young.
After resting for a while at Roy's and Linda's spacious apartment, we proceeded to Gabriel's and Irene's comfortable house in Kota Kemuning for our barbeque. As it was my first time at barbeque, I was a bit worried how it would turn out. Luckily, it turned out fine. I didn't accidentally burn down any house. I just remembered that the ladies forgot to give me a kiss for my efforts.
Those present at August's Fellowship were Charmaine & Danny, Irene & Gabriel, Linda and Roy, Nancy & Lawrence. Marcel joined us for badminton but couldn't join us for barbeque. Bee Ti couldn't join us for badminton but managed to make it for the barbeque.
After the barbeque, we played a board game with bible trivia questions. It was a great game. During the game, our gracious hosts kept us contented with a steady stream of green tea.
After the board game, we had a meeting to discuss about the upcoming Christmas caroling practise to be held in November. Linda, our choir mistress will teach us new songs for this year's caroling. We will start the practise every Saturday. Members will attend Saturday evening mass together and then, have dinner together before we start our practise at our apartment.
The fellowship started at 2pm and ended at around midnight.
