| Lured from the womb by the smell of mutton pie and the fizz of Barr's Irn Bru, I was born just before lunch on 4 February 1965 in Rottenrow Maternity Hospital, Glasgow, Scotland. |
|
|
| My formal education commenced in 1970 at St. Stithians College in Randburg. In 1982 I matriculated, passing English (with distinction), Latin, Afrikaans, Biology and Science. I attended the University of Cape Town from 1983-1985 and graduated with a BA degree, majoring in Political Science and English. |
|
|
| Apprenticed as a junior copywriter in 1986, I've been involved in advertising ever since, first as a writer then as a Creative Director. On the side, I've dabbled in music production and performance (cabaret/musicals/live band work). |
|
|
| I was married 7 years to Kim and we have a daughter, Jessica (9), and two sons, James (8) and Callum (6). My main interests include music (listening/writing), wildlife, water sports and pub games. |
|
|
