Back again - just a note about the Zen Arcade gig on Friday 31st March. It turned out that one of the other two bands, Liquid Sky, broke up on the same day, so it was just us and Damn The Icebergs. This allowed for a more leisurely and less pressured soundcheck. The set went down very well, apparently it sounded pretty good in the house - unlike the the on-stage sound which was terrible. I could barely hear my bass throughout the set, in fact, for the first two songs, there was zero bass, so I had to lipread. The very relaxed (the uncharitable might say scuzzy) vibe was a good morale booster, as was the enthusiastic audience. Big thanks to everyone who came! We'll be playing at Abelard again hopefully - maybe mid-month. Unfortunately, we had to decline a month-end spot as I'll be out of town - going up to Mpumalanga on 28 April for Graeme Freer's marriage to Karen.
