A True Friend:

A friend is some one who cares,
A friend is someone who wants to be with you,
A person, whose heart flares,
Someone that can count on you.

They consider your problems and help you fix them,
Want to help you when others will not,
When you have sharp edges with life they will help you hem,
They will talk to you when parents cannot.

When you leave for a while they will still be there,
They will focus on what is good about you more than what is bad,
When you have a bad day they will care,
When you criticize they won't get mad.

When you have fallen they will pick you up,
You can call a friend any time,
When you are down they help keep your head up,
They will appreciate your friendship every time.

They will be there when it means the most,
They will cry when you cry,
On our wedding day they will be there for your toast,
They will be in agony when the day comes where you die.
