A Walk in the Sun Chapter Five Everything Harry and Eberlie did together was just as friends. They went to movies, dances, restaurants, and soccer games together. Harry liked things the way they were, but Eberlie wanted it to be so much more. Harry had never even thought about Eberlie as more than a friend - until that night. As you know Eberlie and Harry went to the dance as friends. After the dance, Harry took Eberlie home. He pulled into her driveway, but when she was about to get out, he touched her arm lightly. "What?" Eberlie asked confused. Harry pulled her over to him and kissed her. The steamy kiss lasted for about two minutes, and when it was over Harry looked embarrassed. "I'm so sorry," he pleaded. "No Harry, don't be sorry. It was a good kiss, and Ive actually been waiting for you to kiss me for forever," she confessed. "Really? I had always just wanted to be friends with you, but I had to try to kiss you, just to see if there was any magic," he explained. "There was," Eberlie whispered. "Yea I felt it to, wanna try it again?" Harry joked. Eberlie laughed and hit Harry on the arm playfully. "No just kidding, not until our next date, will you be my girlfriend?" he asked. And of course you know what Eberlie said. YES! Remember Taylor Hagely? The guy Hayley knocked over? Well, he was a huge nerd (we're talking' chess club, and mathalon here). Anyway, he liked Miranda, the Mexican cheerleader. The popular one. I don't really know how I got pulled into this, but me, Hayley, Eberlie, and Hillary are gonna give him a makeover, to get, Miranda to like him. We started with his hair, it needed some help. It was short, black, and straight. Eberlie to the rescue! She used her magic to transform it into messy black spikes. Next, Hillary gave him some fashion advice. "Your color pallet is too boring, and your pants are way too high man," she pointed out. She bought him, some girl jeans, and some t-shirts. Next, it was Hayley's turn. She blindfolded him, and drove to the Pierce Palace. It was where Dougie and Danny had gotten their ears pierced, and now it was Taylor's turn. He was fine until he felt the sterile wipe on his ear. "Oh no, Oh no, my parents are gonna freak! No no no!" he yelped as the earring was applied into his cartilage. "Whoa! Taylor looking good!" we seventeen year olds cooed over him. Finally it was my turn. "No more glasses! Get contacts!" I declared. Then I taught him how to walk the walk, and talk the talk. "Ok, now all you have to do is learn how to play an instrument, like the drums or something," I said. "What about the clarinet?" he asked hopefully. "No! Are you serious?" I exclaimed. He didn't answer. "Ok so do you think youre ready?" Hayley asked him. "Ready for what?" Taylor replied. "To meet Miranda! You didn't think this was all for nothing did you?" I yelled. "When do I meet her?" Taylor asked. "Youll sit next to her at lunch tomorrow," Hillary said. Taylor looked squeamish, and ran to the bathroom. "Maybe with a few more lessons," Eberlie said thoughtfully. Whaaat?!" Caleb said after I tried to explain to him what we did to Taylor. "I lost you at the earring..." he started to say.Linley!" came Hayley's scream from down the hall. "He's here! Taylor's here!" she squealed. Come on," I said pulling Caleb along with me. "Oh my stars for the love of Liza!" he said when he saw Taylor. Everyone was staring and saying "That's Taylor Hagely? The dork? The freshman?". Girls that never even knew he existed before were checking him out. Back |
