A Walk in the Sun Chapter One "Hayley, snap out of it!" I snapped. She was staring at Dougie as he was talking to Tom outside McFly High. Eberlie walked out the front doors. "Man that test was like ugh. It was crap! Too many essays. Hey what's Hayley staring at?" She looked over to where she was staring. "Dougie." We both said at the same time, it was a little too loud, he heard. "Oh crap he's coming over here Linley!" Hayley said frantically. "Hey ladies, you rang?" he asked expecting us to need something. "Umm yea how about that English test?" Hayley squeaked. "I'm not in your English class." he said looking at Eberlie and I for an explanation. We both shrugged. "Hey Dougie! Come over here!" Danny called (he is such a hunk muffin!). "Gotta go ladies, see you." he nodded at Hayley. " Hey Linley there's your prince," Eberlie said pointing to Danny. "I know. I can't breathe. He looks good today. Oh my stars!" I said right before hyperventilating. Danny was like the hottest guy at McFly High. His old girlfriend Lesley Patterson broke up with him after he tried to kiss her on a roller coaster. "He can kiss me on a rollar coaster anytime!" I said. "Ewww!" Eberlie squealed. Danny said bye to Dougie and started heading our way. "Oh my lord he's heading this way! What a babe!" I said laughing about my babe comment. He really was headed our way, or so we thought. You see we were standing smack dab in front of the bike rack. Danny, having failed his driver's test 7 times, rides his bike to school. He smiled at us. "Uhh your in front of my bike," he said gestering toward the gorgeous dark green bike. He was so close, I could smell him, Yummm!!!!! "Oh sorry Danny!" I said moving out of the way. "It's fine, hey isn't your name Linley? I think your in my English class." he asked. "Yea that's me. We're in the same English class," I said trying not to pee in my pants (his breath smelled amazing!). "That test was brutal!" he said. "Tell me about it," I replied (Do'h! Why'd I have to be so stupid, tell me about it is so lame!). "Well see you later," he sais smiling and mounting his bike. "Later Gator!" I said (Wow i'm lame). While Mr. Beular was crapping it up in English, I stared blankly at the white board. The dance was 2 days away, where was I gonna find a decent date? "Linley," Eberlie whispered. "Linley!" "Huh?" I said snapping out of my trance. She handed me a note. "it's from danny, he wants it back," she said winking at me. Were my dreams coming true? Was Danny Jones asking me to the dance? I opened the note. Linley- Arne't u on the dance committee? if u r I need a favor. -Danny Not exactly what I had in mind, but it was a start. Danny- Yea I'm on the dance committee, why?
