Dirty Strumming Chapter Five Crazy Little Thing Called Love The final night of the holiday had come and as she wanted, Charlie�s sister was in the show. They were all dressed up and sat in a spot of the main room. Charlie sat in the corner. The show started and everyone else was having a really good time except for Charlie. Her sister started to sing her song which everyone laughed at because she couldn�t sing a note. The main door opened and Danny appeared from the other side and his other band mates were really glad to see him. He searched around the main hall and eventually he spotted Charlie who was still watching her sister perform on stage. He approached the table and her father stood up. �No-one puts Charlie in the corner� Danny explained as he took Charlie�s hand and headed up to the stage. Charlie�s sister was not pleased that her song had been interrupted by them both and an angry glare appeared on her face. �Hi everybody� Danny announced. �Sorry about the interruption. But I always do the last act of the final night and that is not going to change just because I was fired.� He grabbed the guitar that was sitting on the stage and handed it to Charlie. He then went backstage to fetch another one. �Everyone, this is Charlie. She has taught me so much, and I think she is a wonderful musician. She is going to be my partner for this evening.� Charlie didn�t know what to think, everything was happening so fast. She was really nervous being in front of all these thousands of people. Danny came up close behind her and put his lips delicately to her ear. �Charlie play �Crazy Little Thing Called Love� just like we practised� he whispered which sent small shivers down Charlie�s neck. She looked into his eyes and smiled. Charlie and Danny performed with such perfection that everyone cheered. Everyone thought Charlie especially was amazing as she wasn�t the professional musician. Just as they finished the last chord there was a huge applause that echoed in the main hall. Massive grins appeared on both Charlie and Danny�s faces as they felt so wonderful inside. Background music started to play. It was �Crazy Little Thing Called Love� and everyone started to dance to it. Danny hopped off the stage and gestured Charlie to do the same as he lead her to the dance floor. Danny slowly put his arms around Charlie�s waist and leaned in. Charlie then put her hands around his neck as Danny sang the lyrics into Charlie�s ear. They both looked at each other before leaning in for a beautiful, tender kiss. Back |
