A Secret to Hold Close Chapter Six Mylie stepped through the opening elevator door and seeing her sister at the hotel�s restaurant, joined her. �Sleep well?� Jessica asked with a grin, one that Mylie returned. �Yes I did. I could get used to this, sleeping till 11 and then getting up and doing what ever you want� it�s nice.� Jessica smirked and looked like she was about to say something sarcastic but she was interrupted by the waiter coming to take Mylie�s order. Mylie thought it was amusing how the cute waiter clearly tried to make a move on her sister but how her sister ignored him. Once he left Mylie�s fair sister continued, �Well what are the plans for today?� Mylie looked at her sister horrified but when she caught the teasing glance in her sister�s eyes she laughed, �Geez you had me worried there for a second Jess! Today is the biggest, best day of the whole trip! The McFly concert!� �I know, I know!� her sister said with a laugh. They had both been excited about this since they had arrived in London a month before but they had allowed themselves to enjoy the other sights and sounds of the amazing city as well. When they had arrived at the airport to get on their plane they found no less then a private jet waiting for just them. When they had arrived at Heathrow airport, after an amazing flight, they had been greeted by a driver who took them in a limo to one of the nicest hotels in the city. James, the driver, was at their disposal as they had done all the tourist-y stuff and true to Paul and Emily�s word they could get tickets to anything that they wanted to do or see. Mylie had also been brave enough to talk James into teaching her to drive the backwards way of the British streets. She had become so good that he had decided they didn�t need his services all the time. They now had access to a cute little green Mini Cooper that he had gotten them. �Well you know that we got to go get new clothes and do the whole girly thing today to get ready for tonight.� Jess said with a smile. Mylie rolled her eyes but smiled back. She had never been one for doing the all-out girly thing but today she was willing to endure it if it meant she would look good. She couldn�t help but remember that they would be meeting the band in person after the concert and she felt the first bit of butterflies fluttering in her stomach. They finished their brunch and headed out of the hotel. Climbing into their Mini Cooper, with Mylie behind the wheel, they headed to the shops that they had come across they had yet to go in. The next four of hours where a frenzy of shopping and trying on different clothes and Mylie had to admit it wasn�t complete torture, she had a lot of fun with her sister. They returned to the hotel with their final purchases and the next couple of hours were a frenzy of getting ready with a slight break for a little bit of room service. By the time James knocked on their door they were ready to go. They had decided that parking would be near impossible and that it would be better to get James to drop them off and pick them up from the concert. When they opened the door to their suit the normally restrained James� jaw dropped. Mylie blushed and Jessica smiled. Mylie had chosen to wear what she knew that she would be comfortable in, skinny fit jeans that hugged her long legs, but she had tucked them down into knee-high chocolate suede boots. The boots� 4� high heels made her final height 5�12�. A long, honey-colored halter top that had a little bit of gold edging around her ribs matched her eyes and made her long runner�s build even longer. Her makeup was perfect and her unique gold eyes seemed to glow with the special attention she paid to them. Her chocolate brown, wavy hair was left completely down, a style she rarely ever did, and it perfectly framing her face. Mylie also had a fit-cut suede leather jacket the same color as her boots thrown over her arm for later. Jessica was going with a slightly more feminine look while still wearing jeans. She added an icy-blue silk top to her boot cut jeans and had a white skinny cut blazer on top. Her makeup was also done to enhance her eyes and she had a pair of white wedges on her feet. The two sisters couldn�t look prettier and James promptly told them so. �Let�s get you two to the concert, you don�t want to be late!� They headed down to the car but instead of the Mini Cooper James led them to a limo. At their surprised look James grinned sheepishly and said, �I thought that you should arrive in some style.� The climbed into the back with a laugh and a �thank you� for the ride over to the show and when the reached it they were aware of the many stares and looks that they received when they climbed out the limo. Jessica giggled and said, �They must think we are someone famous or something!� Mylie grinned and together they started up to the arena but turned when she heard their names being called. A hassled looking lady came rushing up and said, �Mylie and Jessica Larson? I�m Lisa, come with me I�m supposed to take you to your seats.� The two Larson sisters waved goodbye to James and followed Lisa. They tried to hide their grins as they bypassed all the lines and walked straight into the door much to the jealousy of all the other girls standing in line. Lisa led them to a private box that overlooked the stage and gestured them in. The room had everything from catered food, to a bar and even a bartender. �If you need or want anything just ask Mike, over there, and he can get it for you. I hope you enjoy the show!� Lisa said before hurrying out the room. Mylie went and stood by the window while Jessica got their drinks, Mylie�s normal water and a glass of wine for Jess, and just let it all sink in. She was actually at a McFly concert! She sighed happily and took a sip of her water. Jess grinned guessing at her sister�s thoughts. When the lights dimmed, signaling the start of the concert, both Mylie and Jess leaned forward in their seats and added their cheers to the roar of the crowd below. The opening act was a girl group Nylon that Mylie realized that she didn�t like. A US band called The Click Five that Mylie already knew about and liked came after them and she sang along with the songs she knew. And then it was time. The sound of the cheers as McFly stepped onto the stage was deafening. The concert that followed was amazing. They started off with Please, Please, the new single from their unreleased album. They followed with I Wanna Hold You and All About You from their Wonderland album. They whole arena shook when the boys played a new tune called We Are The Young. The boys then did a medley of some songs from Room On The 3rd Floor. Another new song, Star Girl, echoed through the arena and then they did I�ll Be OK. Then on the big screen behind the band the words for a new song, Sorry�s Not Good Enough, came up in karaoke fashion and both Mylie and Jess sang along. Then the both cracked up when Harry got down from the drum stand to read out some of the funny banners. When they started to sing again the did a cover of the Beastie Boys song Fight For Your Right To Party and Mylie sang along with that one as Jess went to get a refill on their drinks and to flirt with Mike the bartender. For the next song Danny took to the stage alone and did Not Alone with vocals, an acoustic guitar, and a harmonica. By the end of it Mylie had a glistening of tears in her eyes, she had listened to this song the most during her treatments because she could relate and like in the song she hadn�t been alone. She sniffed them away when the song ended and let the high paced beating of Harry in his drum solo and the joining in of the rest of McFly on steel drums cheer her up. The songs Room On The 3rd Floor, a cover of the Ghostbusters theme song, and Just My Luck with clips from the movie on the big screen followed before the boys ran off the stage. Continue |
