She then decided to go and do her hair and get the make up off that had smudged down her face from all the crying the night before, after all she didn�t want danny to change his mind! She had only just finished getting the black stains off her face when all four boys walked through the door. �hi� she said quite nervously as she had never met the other boys before and didn�t know what they would think of her, � hiya darling, you felling better now? Lads, this is gemma the one I told you about.� gemma heart nearly popped out of her chest, if he had told his best mates about her, then he must like her! �alright,� the three boys said almost synchronised. �we�ve heard a lot about you!� dougie said with a cheeky smile on his face, gemma looked at danny out of the corner of her eye and said, �really?� in a very flirtatious manner, danny walked over to her giggling, �I don�t suppose you watched �Saturday morning� did you?� he said flirting back, �as a matter of fact I did,� gemma replied, there was an awkward silence for a bit before danny got up the courage to say, �so, will you go out with me?� he looked very worried and nervous, gemma sighed looked at him deep in the eyes and whispered, �I would be insane not to!� with that danny kissed gemma softly but passionately on the lips as the other three boys stared in awe, the kiss lasted for a few moments and when it broke gemma and danny just stared at each other for about 5 minutes before they could actually think straight again. �wow!� whispered danny, gemma gave a slight giggle then walked away looking back at him very seductively. The next few weeks were the best weeks of gemma and danny�s lives, they spent every minute they had together and when they couldn�t be together they were always texting and calling each other with the mobile phone that danny had bought for gemma. He had also bought her new clothes and make up, although she had found her self a small part time job in a little caf� in the town centre. The rest of mcfly were also getting on with gemma extremely well and all five of them had become best friends! Gemma was so glad that she could leave behind the horrible life and bad memories and now have this great new life with her boyfriend, who she was head over heals in love with and her new best friends, tom, dougie and harry, she had also made friends with tom�s girlfriend chloe who she hung out with when the boys went far away and took the girls with them. With her new life gemma had all she needed and never had to think about her past again. One ordinary day, about a few months after gemma and danny had met she was sitting in the house with chloe waiting for the boys to arrive home from a gig in Newcastle when the phone rang. �hello?� gemma said with a yawn, �is this gemma stubbs?� said a voice that gemma didn�t recognise. � yes,� she replied very uncomfortably � well I�m very sorry but there was an accident, danny, and harry are in hospital�� there was silence gemma dropped the phone and turned to chloe, �what? Gemma are you o.k?� she asked, tears fell down gamma�s face and smudged the text on a piece of paper on the coffe table, creating the only sound in the house. Chloe ran over to the phone picked it up and quickly got a pen and note book and started scribbling down the address of the hospital and the ward that danny and harry were on. Then she grabbed gamma�s coat, helped her put it on then pulled her outside and into the car. Gemma couldn�t function and all she could hear was a voice in her head telling her over and over again that her great life had suddenly ended and it was all happening again. It took a couple of hours to get to Newcastle from their house so chloe and gemma were driving through the night. When they arrived at the hospital they saw tom pacing around outside the main entrance with his mobile phone to his ear. Chloe and gemma quickly got out of the car and ran over to tom who had a expression of fear on his face. Chloe hugged him tight as he said, � where the hell have you been, I�ve been ringing you for ages!� �oh my god I�m so sorry babe, I must of left my phone at home, how are danny and harry?� �you bettter come with me� he siad leading them through the hospital to the ward where danny was lying motionless in a bed with dougie sitting in a seat next to him. Gemma still hadn�t spoken since she answered the phone and when she looked at a bruised, and battered danny lying there asleep in a bed it all came back to her. That feeling that was a mix of emotions, shock, fear, love, grief, guilt. She knelt down beside his bed, took hold of his hand and sobbed into his chest �no danny don�t go, don�t leave me, please I love you!� chloe tom and dougie decided to leave her on her own with danny. The other three went to see harry who was getting along a lot better than danny and was almost ready to go home, then they sat in the waiting room for a bit. They all turned their heads to see gemma standing there, a tear stained face and her hair messed up she sat down beside dougie � they wouldn�t let me stay with him, they�re doing tests� she whispered in a quiet emotionless voice. Dougie pulled her close into a hug. The four of them sat in silence for half an hour until a nurse walked out. Gemma stood up quickly and walked towards her, � we�ve finished the tests and danny will be o.k he�s awake and ready to see you now. However, he won�t be himself yet and needs to stay in hospital for al least another week.� gemma listened intently and then ran into the room to see danny. He looked tired and ill but gemma had never felt so strongly for anyone in her life, �gemma, come closer,� he whispered straining his voice, gemma slowly walked up to him and took his hand, �I love you,� he whispered taking deep breaths as it hurt for him to speak, �I will never leave you I promise,� gemma squeezed his hand tight and kissed his cheek. � I love you too.� she said softly into his ear. Just then the doctor walked in, �you know, danny was in a coma,� he began, gemma turned to face the doctor � and we don�t think he would of woken up if it wasn�t for him hearing your voice, he was ready to give up until you came. Then it seemed he just tried as hard as he could to wake up for you.� the doctor had a big smile on his face, �you�re my angel,� said danny giggling. �well, I was only returning the favour,� replied gemma, � if it wasn�t for you I probably would of commit suicide, you�re my angel too.� the two just smiled at each other and love filled the air, that was when gemma realised that she and danny would never be apart again. After a couple of weeks danny was let of hospital and rejoined mcfly, he got back to his great life with his friends and gemma. she got back to hers too and found herself a proper job that she loved as a dancer. Now five years on gemma and danny are married and life has never been better for them, they are still head over heels in love and also are expecting their first child, danny junior! Back |
