| Welcome to the MOMS Club�! |
| We are a local chapter of the International MOMS Club�, the only international support group for all at-home mothers. The MOMS Club� is a wonderful way to meet mothers who share your concerns. And remember, with the MOMS Club�, you can participate in events while bringing your children along. Our chapter serves Fairfax zip codes 22030, 22031, 22032 and 22033 in Virginia. Weekly Activities |
| As a member of the MOMS Club�, you and your children will participate in enriching activities during the day when you most need the support. We hold an activity at least once a week. Past events have included outings and picnics at local parks; Duff and Stuff trail guides; visits to Frying Pan Park, a working farm in Reston; Fairfax Corner Tots Summer Concerts; Jamin' Java: a coffee house with musical shows for kids and treats for moms; the Fall Festival and Pumpkin Playground; the National Air and Space Museum; and many more activities! |
| Monthly Meetings |
| Once a month, we hold an All Member's Meeting where we review MOMS Club� plans and vote on business issues. Children are usually given a craft to work on during the meeting, and snacks are provided for the kids. |
Playgroups |
| In addition to weekly meetings, individual playgroups generally meet once a week. Currently, we offer three, mixed aged playgroups so you can easily find a day or time that's right for you. In addition, there is a playgroup specifically for two to three year olds. Finally, we have a moms' coffee group that meets once a month to chat over coffee at a local caf� while our toddlers are in pre-school, and you are welcome to bring infants to those gatherings. |
| Moms Night Out |
| Once a month, we treat ourselves to a Moms Night Out. Let your spouse stay home with the kids while you join your fellow moms for a social event such as attending a movie, eating out at a restaurant, or bowling. Moms Night Out is usually held on a weeknight. Children are welcome. |
Community Service |
| MOMS Club� is a non-profit organization, and we make it a point to serve our community through special projects at least once a year. Past community service projects have included collecting items for Hurricane Katrina victims, planting flowers, and gathering toys for tots. This winter, we are collecting and donating gifts of new clothing for underprivileged kids in our area. These gifts will be given at StreetLight Community Outreach's annual holiday party. |
Parties & Family-Wide Activities |
| Special weekend events, such as the family picnic and Holiday party, allow entire families to get in on the action. In addition, we often have parties for the kids during the week for such holidays as Halloween and Valentine's Day. |
| Sunshine Meals |
| Our members provide meals to new moms as well as to moms who have experienced a recent hardship. This enables moms experiencing stressful times to take a break from dinner preperations. |
