The MOMS Club (MOMS Offering Moms Support) is an
international, nonprofit support group specifically for at-home mothers.
Our founder, Mary J., started the first MOMS Club in the fall of 1983 in Simi
Valley, California. Word spread about the wonderful support that the MOMS
Club offers at-home mothers, and we became a national organization in 1985
and an international one in 1996.
The principles of the MOMS Club are that women must be free to choose their
personal path to fulfillment, that raising children is an important and
full-time job, that a family's decision for a mother to stay at home to raise
children often involves considerable financial sacrifice, and that there is
no right way to raise children, but our members share a common concern in
raising their children in a healthful way.
The goals of the MOMS Club are to provide a support group for mothers who
choose to stay at home to raise their children, to provide a forum for topics
of interest to mothers, and to perform at least one service project yearly
helping needy children.
We meet during the day, when at-home mothers most need the support! We
believe that being a mother shouldn't isolate you, so mothers may bring their
children with them.
We offer playgroups, group-wide activities, a monthly newsletter, a monthly
mom's night out, and more!
