R1b SNP update June 17, 2006

The R1b SNP page has been updated.

www.geocities.com/mcewanjc

and click through to see SNP results.

It has been a quiet week and few results have come to hand

Some points

S2    S25+ results have been reported for S21+ and S21- and 5 people have reported back making it an ancient SNP. At this stage I have shifted it to before M269 on the list.

a p  a possible sub-cluster of S21 has been identified in R1bSTR43 centred around Hawkins by Michael Maddi with DYS390=23 DYS391=10 DYS456=16 as yet nobody has been tested for S21

As usual any errors or new information please e-mail me

John:
Would it be possible to sort the enrtries on your R1B Summary for like items. ie:

All R1bSTR19Irish
R1bSTR47Scots
RibSTR22Frisian

This would make it very easy to compare lie entries. I am not sure you have this sort capablity/.

Thanks, I always look forward to you chart and the updates!

Dear Marine

Yes it is possible but not simply in an interactive way at least to my primitive web page skills. They are currently sorted by SNP test combination, then by STR cluster and then by surname. Those that are not derived and/or have not been tested for S21/S28 are at the bottom of the table.

If all else fails you can copy into excel and do the sort.

Cheers
