Dear all
I have updated and uploaded the R1b site
The site is undergoing a bit of a revamp, because the pages seem to have been breeding and it is now quite hard to navigate. The most commonly accessed pages are now all available from the home page.
www.geocities.com/mcewanjc/
and from there one click gets you to the R1b SNP result table. I have tried to make this page a little more friendly to those with low resolution screens as well.
Some of the SNP notes pages are just placeholders as yet.
New stuff
1) Now have 189 entries 114 of which are derived or tested for S21
2) We have a new 464x result 15c 16g 17c 17g. This suggests an older RecLOH event. To date 8/10 of the ccgg?s have the same allele value at g and both that do not have only a one step mutation.
3) We have another S28+.
4) I discovered a M65+ (according to what they put in Kerchners table). He has only a 12 marker profile, but it has 6 perfect matches all with origins (5/6) from Poland/Ukraine/Germany and all with DYS393=12 DYS426=11. The Ysearch ID of the person is KH2WS but the 37 STR profile of his perfect match is 8EXHY. The group is likely the FTDNA equivalent of the Eastern Europe cluster that Ken has described. It may surprise many, but the closest cluster to these people appears to be R1bSTR19Irish, random chance? It would be great if we could get a full SNP profile on one of these individuals and confirm that it is M65+. This is the group that is also supposedly TaqI 49a,f ht35. To date there has only ever been 2 M65+ individuals reported (Underhill 2000) and both were Basque. Worth some checking on this one.
5) We also now have 2 more M222+ for a total of 18, sure there are a few more lurking out there?
As usual any omissions or errors please contact me, and also if you have new results or have not been listed and have SNP results.
Cheers
John McEwan
