McEachern Orchestra 2009-2010
$50 ORCHESTRA FEE:  Our fee is $50 for this school year.  Other High Schools are charging as much as $250!!  It is STILL only $5 per each additional child at camp or in McEachern Orchestra. It needs to be paid ASAP; we are running out of funds! Please pay with checks made out to McEachern High School  Orchestra or McEachern Orchestra Guild.

GMEA FESTIVAL 2009: If you missed this, you can still order a CD from David Testa/Sound Mill Recording at 1384 Independence Way N.R., Marietta, GA, 30062.  They are $12 a CD, and the String Orchestra was comprised of 9th/Intermediate Orchestras, Advanced, and Chamber Orchestras.  He will mail the CDs to me for distribution.

2009-2010 OFFICERS:  We need new parents to serve  this year as President, Vice-President, and Secretary/Treasure. Please let me know if you can help!

ASTA/NSOA STUDENT CHAPTER NEWS:

In the spring, your child will be getting their certificate for this year stating that they had become an active student member of the American String Teacher Association/National School Orchestra Association group.  They must have a 3.0 Academic grade point average as well as be involved in all aspects of the school Orchestra program (auditioning, solo and ensemble, fundraising, etc.) to be a member.  This looks very nice on college applications!  All names were sent into the National office and are posted in the Orchestra Room
