Notes:
This is another episode from this season which gets its title from a drug that was mentioned quite often in the plot and the reason why the victim died. Guess there will be future episodes about Zoloft, Paxil, etc.

Again there was a familiar face from a previous season who had a main guest role. In this case, the father Nicky Avakian, was played by Tom Madirosian. He is best known as the person accused of killing the jewelry dealer in "The Fertile Fields" from season 2 and also as the attorney for the girl in "Fools for Love."

As for this ep, I wasn't that impressed overall by it. It seemed interesting at points, but throughout I got the sense there was no passion, nothing exciting. Perhaps its because we have seen the mob before and know by now how they will act when caught in a bind. "Oxymoron" didn't impress me on this count as compared to other classics from the past like "Torrents of Greed" "Faccia a Faccia" and "Refuge" to say the least.

Many of you were asking if Abby would be coming back since this had the US attorney's office involved. It's always interesting when the feds play a role, but I don't think it was at the same level as "Ambitious" for example. To me, this would have been a perfect opportunity for Abby to come in her job. I say it because we know how she feels about the mob and its members getting off easily from what happened in "Refuge". I also feel she would have brought more personality to the US attorney role than that Janet person who was used. Besides, last year "School Daze" was shown at about this time of the year and having Jaime included made that ep much more better. I liked how Nora got more involved and wanted to protect her turf, and Jack was his usual self in not giving much of an inch. Yet again, there were gaps in between that just didn't make it interesting or even believable. More should have been done to fill in the gapping holes in the plot and the performance by everyone was average to say the least.

From what I sense, next week's season finale has the qualities of keeping up the tradition of being memorable. Can't wait to see the most direct ep to this point on the issue of terrorism and 9/11.
