Notes:
When I first saw this promo, I thought "Here we go again with another story about big business getting out of control and responsible for a death." But in this instance, I was rather impressed with the simple storyline going from a young man's stabbing to 5 children dying of food poisoning. The background information of the US government getting involved and confidentiality agreements reminded me of season 3's "Corporate Veil." As I've mentioned before, CV was the first episode to address the issue of corporate liability when a person died. Some might say it would have been better to hear about these children dying from the beginning, maybe even make that the central crime in the opener and have the stabbing as a secondary crime. But the way they did this was good and kept me interested. This is an ep which you should consider taping.

I liked the one liners which Lennie, Ed, and even Nora brought in. It seems that Nora is getting more involved and the chemistry between her and Serena and Jack seems to be working.

Just so you know NYPIRG, which was mentioned in the "Law" part, is a real organization here in NY. While attending college, it was mentioned all the time. They argue for keeping tuition steady and student participation in the political process. Protesting against a shady meat company isn't unusual.

Finally, didn't the attorney for the company executives look familiar, or the judge who ordered the civil litigation handed over to the DAs?
