Notes:
Had it not been for the Florida debacle, this ep wouldn't have been produced. That means what could have been the finale like?

The way Abby departed was non-chalant, no fireworks, no crash scenes, nothing in the league of "Pride," "Old Friends," "Aftershock," or "Refuge." More like "Benevolence" or "Vaya Con Dios."

I know some of you are disappointed by this and the fact Abby's announcement came in the middle of the ep instead of the ending. I can only speculate that it was perhaps done when the writer's strike was still unsettled and Mr. Wolf would stockpile on new eps for season 12 and didn't have a replacement. Another theory was that Mr. Wolf wanted an ending to a season finale that we haven't seen before. I must say this one was unique in terms of who the source was. They made a good effort and at least kept me intrigued as to the outcome.

What striked me the most was how Jack performed at the end. First with the gum chewing in the ballot counting, then telling off on the appellate court, then in his casual clothes convincing the reporter to give her source.

In the end, season 11 was a vast improvement over last year. I think it was up and down, but not as drastic as last season with lots of downturns. A good finish and I think a some momentum for season 12.

Last week, L&O made it to #3 in the Nielsens. Could it make it to #1 with Abby's departure? Do you see any hopes this year with the Emmys? How would you see this season overall?
