Notes:

As for this ep, I would really appreciate it if TPTB will put an end to the Iraq war and 9/11 references all the time and stick to more local or national events which haven't received a lot of attention.

Having said that though, it was great to see another angle of a stressed out former soldier defending his late son's honor. But the question which even the jury couldn't resolve is whether that gives someone in that position a legal pass for killing someone who strongly disagreed with their viewpoints.

There was a lot of reference to the Iraq war, but of course it harkens of another time called Vietnam. We shouldn't forget about Jack's views on that subject from the past. Notice it was the same judge (Pongracic) who presided over the Vietnam protester's murder at the hands of a guard who's son was killed in Vietnam in the S9 ep Ramparts? Interesting indeed.

While most of this ep was rather on cruise control, I did like the ending with some legal manuverings and the jury ultimately deadlocked on the manslaughter issue. One might say nullification, one might say voting with their conscience. Clearly though this was one which gnawed at the jury for days with no resolution in sight.

I was a little curious as to why when the EED defense was brought up, there was no consultation from Skoda, Olivet, or a defense expert. I would very much like to see Huang just once appear on the original to see how he does in an evaluation and then has to report it to Jack. That would be interesting.

As for taping this or not, I would be like the jury. Go with your gut.
