Notes:

Timely, with the Kentucky Derby coming up this Saturday.

This had the likings of the Dennis Kozlowski case, which is being retried BTW for real, with all the large gifts and lavish expenses taken by him for supposedly puffing up the pension fund.  Now the big question is who killed him in the end.

I liked the ending though.  I always like it how they go away from the usual routine of the jury finding someone guilty and going to something unusual or leave it to an open ended question.  That is something which needs to be done more often, or leave it to a jury being hung.  As a general idea, how about in a future trial on L&O, the jury is hung and then it carries over as a crossover on TBJ with the new jury figuring out the case.

The trainer played by Murphy Guyer, a veteran L&O repeat offender, looked a lot like Dabney Coleman about 20 years ago.  I also thought Varek in the end was a repeat offender from a season 4 ep, "Snatched."  He also looked like the creepy rapist from the SVU/TBJ crossover last night.

In any case, this was for the most part an average ep which had some pluses and minuses.  I doubt it though they will follow through on in down the road.  Finally, great ending with Joe and Falco having the last scene.  Having said that though, this would have been a perfect storyline for the great Lennie/Ed duo.
