Notes:

I kinda liked the beginning and ending of this show. Everything in between is rather standard and routine of finding the perp and then finding out why he is or isn't responsible. The beginning was great because it showed the eventual suspect right there at the start under serious stress or something. I liked the very ending also because there was the usual "squeeze" that Jack tries to put in by getting one party to roll on the other. In most cases, someone does find a conscience and squeals. However, this time nobody blinks and Jack becomes frustrated. Yet I'm sure he took pleasure in explaining to Dr. Barett about what will happen now with his client ending up in a rubber room at Ossining and their method of treatment compared to the good doctor. Again we see an example of a psychiatrist taking advantage of two patients a la Promises to Keep. Rest assured the latter ep is much more preferable.

I'm not going to bring up of whether Olivet should have been brought in either to replace or compliment Skoda. To me it might have been the same thing. But then with the female angle being mentioned, who knows.
