Notes:

This was a little bit better than what we've seen in recent weeks. Again, TPTB put in some new twists and turns to not make things redundant or the same old.

I liked how they did the third part with the lengthy trial and the surprise confession by the defendant. Knowing that took place before the closing credits made me believe they were up to something. But not until the very end did we suspect it would fall on the female professor.

I'm glad they kept that ending very simple and direct with the psychic us telling what really happened instead of one of those "squeeze deals" as I'd call it with Jack and Serena putting one person under the gun to get to roll on another.

Nice to see a veteran arraignment judge, Ian Feist, get his chance to preside in a real trial. That's happened before in a few occasions but not too often.

Are we seeing Jack pushing the envelope once again about the ethics thing? I did like the performance of Blair Brown as defense counsel. She was witty and compassionate at the same time. If heaven forbid Mellnick died, this atty. could be the successor to her.

When we all saw the beginning of the scene where Lennie and Ed go inside this party, I could swear that one of the women looked just like Serena. Would you tend to agree? Plus, did you like that ender of the same scene with the dancer falling on Lennie's arms? This is a great example of character development at work.

Finally, Beck is getting to be the CSU tech we either hate or love. I'd like to see an instance though where his findings are called into question and could either convict or acquit a defendant.

What do you think? Email me!
