Notes:

Some way to begin a new ep after about a month off and then we see there will be another repeat next week.

I have to tell you that this is a case whereby the parts are better than the sum.  This was a weak and twisted case from the beginning.  The first part was running like molasses with hardly any emotion or sense of meaning.  It seemed everyone was just going through the motions and was trying to move on to the next case.  I have to tell you parts of this made me sick.

It was noble for the DAs to go after this religious leader for first the kidnapping then the murder of her son.  I only wished there would have been some more emotion and passion on their side too.  The description said that "Borgia was going to take the leader down."  But I didn't see her get all worked up too much and be in the spotlight for a change.  Instead it was Jack leading the charge.  But even him didn't seem wanting to go too far on this.  In a sense, everyone wanted to just go through the standard operating procedure and wash their hands of this.  Maybe that was a good thing given the grotesque nature of the circumstances.  However, I wished more arguments could have been made on the religion angle and more passion involved.  In short, I was hoping for a repeat of season 4's "Apocrypha" when fireworks went off on that controversial topic.

Very interesting though about the title being spelled it was.  For that word "Sects" if said in a particular way and speed would be pronounced as SEX.

Overall, I wasn't that impressed.  Not just because of the content, but the way it was performed overall.  Believe me, had it not been for the main 6 actors going beyond the call of duty, this ep would have been right there or even surpass "Stiff" as the worst ep ever.
