Notes:

When I first saw the title, I thought that not only would this be a rip-off from a popular show on a rival network, but the ep would be somewhat lame and not watchable.  Like it tends to be before, how wrong I am.

Usually when we have eps about the mob, the action tends to be at the top.  Or at least, the cops and DA's start small and then work their way to the Dasos, Napolis, and Massuccis, the kingpins themselves.  In this case though, most of the attention was centered on the grunts who have connections to the underworld but who does the dirty work.  That's one reason why I liked this ep and recommend taping it.

What I also liked was the apparent jurisdiction battle brewing between NY and NJ.  I was bracing for a bigtime fight between Jack and the Hudson county DA.  A little disappointed though at the time, but did like the clever twist which Jack used to get the shooter for larceny when he couldn't get extradition on murder 1.

We are going to join you Lennie fans in mourning due to the magnificent and versatile portrayal which he gave us tonight with him an doing undercover and the usual police work on both sides of the Hudson River.  I don't think whoever replaces him will be able to be as credible and authentic as a NYPD as he was tonight and has been for the past 12 years.

I liked how this thing played out with the restaurant owner involved.   I had a feeling he was involved in something.  The only thing was did Jack press him to give his mob connections, like anyone from the Massuccis since that seems to be in fashion this season.

Finally, at the beginning of the show, when Lennie and Ed talked to the judge, did anyone notice that Judge William Wright was still presiding since his nameplate was on?
