Notes:

My apologies for getting this late.  I was out of the house last night, but did tape this obviously since you wanted to hear what I had to say.

From now on, I am going to use the word "Borgia" when grading the new second chair, Alexandra Borgia.  That way some of you don't confuse her with Cabot from SVU.

When l first heard this was going to be a story about a conservative talk show host, I though this was going to be something against Rush Limbaugh since that's what immediately comes to mind.  The actor who played Shea looked like a slimmer, younger version of Rush.  He even looked a bit like Dick Wolf.  Then it should have been apparent, this was more of the Bill O'Reilly story and his sexual harassment case.  Interesting to note that Rush has not on the radio the past three days.  I liked also the Michael Moore look-a-like as a suspect, though he looked more like a homeless bum.

Had this been about Rush, there would have been many ways to go at this.  Environmental groups, women's groups, other liberal organizations.  I then thought, what about his trouble over Donovan McNabb last year and a possible plot whereby a star quarterback, his teammate, or a deranged fan goes after the Shea character.  Would have been perfect and lucky timing given the Super Bowl was just played with McNabb and the Eagles losing.

But this was definitely more of O'Reilly and from what I saw this was another twisted twist with the lesbian encounter and a so called pact to kill Shea since he was emotionally abusive to the wife.  I would have been more interested had his politics been included in the "Order" part.  Had I been the defense, I would have tried to include that and see if the jury would nullify.  Bringing in the son into this was horrifying.  He will need lots of therapy after this.  That's the person whom we should feel sorry the most.

Given this was a case eventually about a lesbian affair, this would have been a perfect time to have Serena come in as Mrs. Shea's atty. and start some fireworks between her and the DA's office.  Lots of promise not fulfilled.
