Notes:

Regarding this ep, it looked interesting at first by following a simple formula and path like we've seen in the past. Then the final 10 minutes or so became interesting. It seems TPTB wanted to throw us a curveball or give us a new path of getting from A to B, but it seemed the ending was rather confusing and I for one got a little lost.

Here's what I would have done in this situation in the last 10 minutes. After Sean rejects the deal, I would have gone to closings, then the jury would have come out deadlocked and more doubt ensues. Following that, Jack gets a call from Lennie and Ed about the bodies of Adam and his girlfriend being washed ashore, but that Daryl was still missing. Go to the Dick Wolf credits after that. In a situation like we saw that weaved somewhat off the real path, uncertainty would have been the best option, not another clean-cut guilty verdict for Jack and that look of concern on his face in the end.

It seems the DP thing is getting to him. But we should remember that not all murder 1 convictions end up in capital punishment. Sometimes a person convicted of M1 could get life with no parole and the jury doesn't get to vote on the punishment.

Another thing I didn't like was the title. "Maritime" deals with things in the water or sea. Yet the only thing was the crime took place on a boat. Plus the other circumstances about the abuse, the using of the brother for money, all took place on land. A better title would have been better. I'll have to think up of one.

Finally, this is another instance where we see two repeat offenders appear together once again in the same ep. In this case, its Tom Mason and Liz Mackay. They were the divorced couple with the trigger happy son back in season 2's Trust. .

I would point out Maritime was based on a real life story of Bison Dele, the former Chicago Bulls basketball player who was actually found dead far away on the islands and his brother was responsible for his death.
