Notes: This is the L&O we used to know! We definitely need to see more of this. I can kick myself for not taping this. But I was cautious given the recent snoozers which I have taped.

When I first read the description in TV Guide, I thought "O no! Woman is found in Central Park and some millionaire is responsible. This will be another case involving white collar defendants and another dosage of snootyness."

What I liked about this ep were the massive twists and turns, but also the different areas this was taking without going onto another path but rather sticking to the main point which is a woman is found dead near the Puerto Rican day parade.

When we thought this was going to be another ep involving money, power, and sex and snobbishness, we instead get diverted back to the Puerto Ricans and hence a courtroom battle that was prime for Shambala Green to interject. But Paul Calderon was great as the Brazilian's attorney.

The office politics in both the squadroom and DA's office were great. More of Dan Lauria as the captain and the mayor's liason in Nora's office.

One thing though, have we seen the last of Dr. Skoda? This was an ep which could have used his services. If he is truly gone to the land of "Oz" and isn't coming back to the mountaintop, why not bring back Olivet or someone else so as to give us the psychotic angle of these criminals that is helpful in any complex ep.

The best thing about this ep was the inclusion of Lennie and the "Law" part in the "Order" part. The best eps of all time has included a part of the first half into the second. I know Mr. Wolf wants to keep the turfs separate, but I would insist on having more of Lennie and Ed in the second part so as to offer some advice or conduct further investigations if needed. Bravo!

There is so much I could say, but I think you get the point. This was a breath of fresh air into a stale product. Let's see what happens in the next ep. BTW, a great ep for Man 2, which is I think a maximum of 7 years in prison.
