Notes:

Something a little different here with the finale being a motion hearing, rather than a regular verdict.  The bigger picture though is the role of religion today and how far can and should it go.

I won't get into the personal aspects or thoughts about this issue and instead will leave that up to you in future posts.  Needless to say though there will be more of this I'm sure being portrayed and discussed in future eps.  This time the DAs were fortunate to have the defendant ultimately accept responsibility.  The next time, that might not happen.

How remarkable is it that we started this series with the middle class, blue collar Greevey and have evolved into the high fashion Fontana.   He clearly has a favorite one liner which is "We're authorized."  Though next week will be Falco's finale, I would like to see some kind of friction between him and Joe when it comes to the law.  It's only by some miracle that the defendants are so stupid that they fall for Fontana's tricks.  Like I said above about Jack and religion, one day Fontana is going to get his hand in the cookie jar and won't be able to get it out.

I do indeed like the chemistry between Joe and Falco.  It's a great combination in the sense that one is more street smarts and the other is book smarts.  Sort of like season 6 with Lennie and Rey.  But we do want Ed back and better than before.  I for one would like to see Falco come in again.  There are lots of possibilities.  But one might be as a second chair down the road should Jack retire and TPTB puts in a female as EADA. Speaking of which, right now I could see either Kirbe or Elizabeth Donnelly from SVU realistically fill that hypothetical role along with a high profile female actress.

Sorry for going off on a tangent there, but you can see how much I like MI and the Falco character.  It just proves once again that you can have unique characters but the foundation of this show will remain the same.

Interesting season finale next week.  In a sense, I can't wait for the conclusion given the tumult the original has gone through.
