Notes: Instead of using Nytol or another sleeping pill, I could have just turned on this ep and repeat it over and over again.

This ep had potential, but they screwed it up bigtime. At first, this was like "Vengeance," then "Pro Se," then "Mad Dog." I think they were trying, but instead wanted to give us a long, drawn out courtroom scene with nothing behind the scenes, like we're used to seeing. I would have taken one of the paths of the classic eps I mentioned and run with it.

I don't know if Skoda is no longer with the show or is taking a leave of absence. But he or Olivet or another qualified psychiatrist needs to be included in a bigger role soon because they help explain the mindset of these sick criminals.

Nora on for two seconds? What was that? Perhaps we should just have Jack and Abby from now on and forget about the DA. This ep would have been better if there were several scenes with Jack, Abby, and Nora discussing this issue. Message to TPTB, either have Nora on fulltime or not have a DA at all. Don't insult us or Ms. Wiest any further.

The judge was great and I hope he remains on the bench. The only interesting thing was seeing the sick killer trying to flirt with the jury forewoman.

Bottom line, they wasted a great opportunity to try something new in a legal sense by watering the plot down and pouring molasses on the show. I watch it for its fast action and twists and turns.

However, in regards to the polite, but sick killer who went pro se, Jaime was right when she said "things that go bump into the right." Good ending but too late.
