Notes:

This ep kinda reminded me of one from season 4 whereby the birthmother back then had kids and then auctioned them off to the highest bidder, a wealthy couple.  This was called "Breeder."  In this ep though, it was a bit of a reverse in that it was the adoptive parent who was pushing for this baby and found a sleazeball in Stohl who would deliver.

I liked the interesting plot that went from kidnapping to deranged and desperate defendant to DNA tests proving the baby was Stohl's, his acquittal, and then the adaptive dad skipping town with his kid so as to not have to hand over his kid to Stohl.  I only wished though for there to have been a more passionate performance on the part of the supporting cast.  It lacked the emotions and seemed to be too much run of the mill.  This plot required more emphasis.

Interesting to see Olivet back again.  I guess she helps out the DAs when called upon and still maintains her private practice.  It's kinda odd seeing her in one ep clashing with Jack and even working for the defense and then here having lunch with him and Borgia.  It seems that we have seen the last of Dr. Skoda since he's not been around for some time.  I would like to have more consistency with the shrink's role.  Either bring back Olivet some more, or bring in Dr. Huang from SVU to do some eps, or bring in someone new.  And no, I don't mean Mary Stuart Masterston from SVU last year.

Borgia's character has impressed on me throughout the year.  Yes, lots of comments have been made about her clothing.  I focus more on the delivery and the believability of her role as an ADA.  To me she has the looks of Abby, the morals of Claire, and the grit of Jamie rolled into one.  A worthy foil for Jack and Arthur in the DA's office.

I liked the interesting dilemma which was posed on us at the end when Arthur practically called off the dogs on Munro.  Yes Stahl is a creep, but should the law take it's course and have the courts decide as to who should have custody of the baby?  I feel that Munro would have had an excellent chance of winning the case based on Stahl's slimy character.  Jack could have been brought in as a witness and use his charm and skill to wow family court to award custody to the innocent drug counselor.
