Notes:

Well, the new Alex Borgie era has begun.  What do all of you think?  To me, this was a nice transition from the kooky ending of the Serena era.  This was going back to the meat and potatoes of the classics, with just the facts, and nothing more about the personalities.

I liked the simplicity of the plot, even though it took the similar route beginning with the Abby days of starting at the bottom and working the way up.  What was great was seeing everyone on the "Order" side working together to get the SOB and leave the extra politics aside.  Everything was clicking nicely.   No one was working too hard or overcompensating the others.  I sense this is a return to glory, a return to the basics, a return to sanity.

Alex was great in her debut.  Not too flashy, no big splash, but very effective!  She looked and sounded a bit just like Abby, which to most of you is the standard now of what the second chair should be.

I like this trial judge who pops pills all the time and the ending when he read the sentence.

What more can you say about Fontana?  He is the real deal.  I loved his undercover work and using his real life police experience to the show.  WE ALL LOVE AND MISS LENNIE DEARLY!  But Fontana is a great way to continue the show's tradition while honoring the past.  He is more aggressive than any of the previous three lead detectives.  All of them had a great contribution to make and Joe is making his mark immediately.

We'll have to wait at least two weeks for the next one.  The big question is how will the Borgie momentum continue and have we moved past the Serena effect for good?
