Here
we are with the real season 11! What I intend to do, now that I'm done with my
plot suggestions, is to critique each episode and give it a final grade. This
is how it will work.
I am going to give a grade to the 6 main characters out of a possible score of
10. I will then grade the plot out of a score of 10. The guest characters will
get a score out of 10. The semi-regulars (Skoda, LaMotte, etc) will be out of
10. Then the performance itself, the way the ep flowed throughout the hour will
be graded out of 10. Add all these numbers together, and you get a possible
grade out of 100. I will also add some comments afterwards to what I thought.
So here we go.
Lennie-9/10
Ed-8/10
Van Buren-8/10
Jack-10/10
Abby-8/10
Nora-9/10
Semis-7/10
Guests-10/10
Plot-9/10
Performance-10/10
Total-88/100 or a B+, A-.
Notes: Great to see Mayor Guiliani introduce us to Nora. Were you suprised to
find out that Adam resigned. I for one wasn't. I had a gut feeling on this. But
he is doing something worthy. Could he be joining Ben Stone on working in
Europe? I don't think we are going to see Mr. Hill anytime soon.
Tensions already are brewing between Jack, Abby, and Nora. But it's a triangle,
not one against two. Should be very interesting. Nora is going to be more hands
on, count on it.
As for the defense attorney. Wasn't he a big jerk? Worse than Russ Feinman in
"Angel" and Mr. Burton, the Texan, in "The Secret Sharers."
But this is someone who we need to add some spice to oppose Jack and Abby. Now
if we can only bring back Shambala.
I loved Ed's ploy to get the nightgown. Reminded me of Cerretta in "Out of
Control."
Overall, this was a vast improvement over last season. This is a good start.
But wasn't the same said about "Gunshow?" I do have a feeling this
will work though. Everyone seems to be on the same page. next weeks ep looks
good too. I'm enthused and ready to see the comeback of the show on the
mountaintop.
