Season 11 Reviews

Dissonance

I want to begin by giving my notes first, then give my grades. Needless to say, this was the best ep so far. I will definitely tape this.

Notes: I loved seeing Lennie using the cell phone. His time spent with Rey has paid off. By the way, a great criminal chase with Ed. Only thing missing was the music from the Greevey days.

A normal plot of murder, jealousy, and protecting someone. Usually when the case involves someone from the arts crowd, I tend to get bored. But I loved the twists and turns which they took, and not veering off into another planet. That is the difference between this season and last. A great ensemble of cast members which was led by Judge Wright and Arthur Gold.

I want to point out that I have included judges and frequent defense attorneys in the "Semis" catergory when I'm doing my grading. It only seems proper to grade people this way if we have seem them before. A new attorney and/or judge will be graded in the "Guest" category. "Semis" also includes Skoda, LaMotte, ME's, CSU techs, people whom we see on and off helping out the police and DA's.

The battles lines are now drawn between Nora and Judge Wright. I don't think this is the end of the war between the two. But it was interesting to see someone stand up to him. This was far more intense that what Adam did in "Jeopardy" and "ID". In the trial you can see that Judge Wright was being tamed and placed in a box. But had the conductor been convicted, there is no question Arthur Gold would have gone to the bottom of this and there would have been a bigger circus in that he could argue Nora coerced Judge Wright to side with the people. I truly feel that Judge Wright will run for the DA's seat when the next election comes up. Finally, there is a reason why we have Judge Wright. Mr. Wolf wanted to give us someone on the bench who is truly the enemy, whom is a royal pain to the DA's. Most of the judges we have had over the years are great, but they don't stand out and are very professional without having any agendas. Even though we may hate Judge Wright, you have to admit it was a great casting move by Mr. Wolf to have him. I would like to see him more just to add the spice to L&O. Why not have him preside in a trial with either Shambala or Barry Peck at the defense table. That would be fun. By the way, Ron McLarty is a great actor and I noticed he lost some weight.

OK, here are my grades for this ep.

Jack- 10/10
