Now to this ep, Compassion.
Unfortunately, the three ep winning streak that we had has come to a close. I
would also say it came to a crashing end.
Maybe NBC wanted to give
the viewers a touchy feely kind of ep as we prepare for Thanksgiving. But it
didn't sit with me very well and I'm curious as to what you think. We got an
episode that was so emotional, so tear jerker, so much filled with the new age
kind of stuff involving talking to the dead, and I simply wondered to myself
that here we go again to what has been wrong with L&O since season 10.
Again, we see another one of these new topics being discussed, in this case the
John Edward/Dionne Warwick phenonemom, and it gets bogged down to a drawn out
trial involving the battle of the experts, which ends in lo and behold, to your
common deal being made.
Quite honestly, I didn't
see much value or interest from this episode. I know that might offend some
people out there who do believe in this idea of talking to the dead. But wasn't
this talked about in Seer last year? That episode wasn't that impressive
either. I really wished Mr. Wolf and company wouldn't have gone back to this
route again.
Next week, we get
something that's sort of like Wedded Bliss from season 3. But don't
count of this ep being anything close to the glory days of the Ceretta years.
