Notes:

Back from the Olympics.  I hope to have given a better score than some of the figure skating judges.

A lot of discussion has been mentioned here about the comparison to "Mother's Day."  That does make sense, but I would also like to bring up to a comparison with season 4's "Born Bad" whereby Stone had to diffuse the idea that a bad chromosome was the reason why a teen killed another one.  That's what the mother in this ep tonight seemed to argue.  That her son was doomed from birth and she had to kill him when the time was right.

Looking back at both of those ep with tonight's, I can only say that this one seemed to be a carbon copy that didn't present anything new or different from the past.  When something appears to be very similar to one or two eps from the past, it's very likely that it will be in trouble.  I gave this one an average grade since I didn't see anything new that would make it stand out.  The first half was pretty good.  The second half bogged down.  I did like though having Olivet in more often to analyze these cases.

Wasn't Molly Price, the guest actress tonight, the same one who was on "Third Watch" a few years back?  She was a guest star on L&O way back in season 2.  Since her TW days, she has certainly changed and trimmed down a bit.
