 Notes:

Sometimes when you see the commercials, they give you enough to indicate the ep will be just as good in its entirety.  In this case, they were right.

I don't think this reaches the level of  Indifference or Confession, but this one was good enough to at least be taped and considered right now one of the better ones for S15.

We're getting to see that Joe is more hands on in approaching suspects, at least when he head slapped the tattoo parlor guy.  I sense that he is willing to speak his mind and fight for some things that he values highly.  Last week, it was the military.  This week it was a corrections officer.  The chemistry between him and Ed and Van Buren is pretty good so far.

Regarding the Candice Bergen character, I would agree that she needs to show more passion, more zeal in her role as an un-afraid judge.  If she is going to be a central character once TBJ rolls along, she needs to be better to compliment and not hurt Lennie and Jamie.  Could it be that Lennie would be the one who might end up protecting the judge?

I'm happy the jury couldn't come up with a verdict so as to keep the door of suspense open and because the CO's actions could be considered as justified.  Had I been on that jury, I would have had lots of difficulty convicting him.  What about you?

Finally, I had a feeling something was going to happen to the officer's family once the ep ended.  But let me say that Serena's news isn't as dramatic as the classic ending of Prince of Darkness.  You should probably see now why I think change is needed in the second chair role, now.
