About Me
What's up, my name is Angela, but my friends call me Ang. I am a Senior at Northwestern State University graduating in August of '01. I am going to see Good Charlotte for the first time in July at the Warped Tour (it was a graduation gift) with my friend Camp. I enjoy listening to music. I want to work in the music industry when I grow up. Most people I know want to be in rock bands, but I want to work for one. I like the idea of creating hype around a new band or a new release. That's what I learned in college. I am a member of Beta Iota chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota which is a professional music fraternity for women. I love my family line including, Theresa, who acted as my roommate my last semester at school (but only on TV). I've been playing the part of a Spanish tutor for the year, I guess that has something to do with the summer I studied in Spain. That means that I have to help all of the people who don't understand what "adios" means. And at the same time only get paid minimum wage. Some of my other favorite bands include but are in no particular order: Blink 182, Fenix Tx, A New Found Glory, Jimmy Eat World, MxPx, Beastie Boys, 311, Silverchair, No Doubt, Greenday, Foo Fighters, Sum 41, and the Cure. These are just to name a few, there are way, way too many to list right here. The disc that is in my cd player right now is Jimmy Eat World-Clarity (in my computer), (in my room) No Motiv-Diagram for Healing and Punk-O-Rama-vol. 6, (in my car) Good Charlotte (which alternates with A New Found Glory-Nothing Gold Can Stay and Incubus-Make Yourself. Just so you people in the Internet world know, I just got out of the hospital, apparently doctors think that blood clots in your lungs are a serious matter. But I think that nothing can stop me from graduating. So I am totally trying to recuperate and get myself back to normal, if there is such a thing. Anywho, I am working with a band from my hometown, right now. They rock you should check them out. Their name is Hip Hop Anonymous and they have been playing around the Arkansas and Texas area for a few months. Check their site out and listen to some music or check the video out, its pretty cool. I love my peeps back in my hometown of Hope. When we are bored, which is often, (you live in a small town you understand) we follow cop cars, taxis and pizza delivery vehicles. I know, its pitiful. But being in Hope there is nothing to do unless you are riding the strip (Texaco to Texaco) or sitting out in a parking lot, hanging out with the cowboys. So my favorite television show is "That 70s Show." My fave movie is "10 Things I Hate About You." My favorite writer is Jim Carroll ( I think he writes the best shorts). I love Emily Dickinson( my fave poem by Dickinson is "Wild nights" its actually the least like her). Although Dickinson is my favorite poet; my absolute favorite poem is "Rondeau"-Leigh Hunt circa 1838--Jenny kissed me when we met, Jumping from the chair she sat in; Time, you thief, who love to get Sweets into your list, put that in: Say I'm weary, say I'm sad, Say that health and wealth had missed me, Say I'm growing old, but add, Jenny kissed me--(What a great poem, it gives me the tingles). I love ketchup and unfortunately my doctor said, "You can't have that anymore." (In an authoritative voice). But I am not listening to them because what good is food without ketchup? So now that you know a little about me how about yourself.
