LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Jennifer Lopez is engaged to be married to actor Ben Affleck, the singer-actress revealed during a television interview to be aired later this week.

The announcement, made during an interview with Diane Sawyer of ABC News, follows weeks of media speculation which has heightened earlier this month when Lopez showed off to television cameras a pink diamond on her ring finger.

The two met on the set of mob comedy Gigli last year and also recently co-starred in a romantic comedy Jersey Girl. Both films are due to be released next year.

Californian Affleck, 30, who has never been married, will become 32-year-old New Yorker Lopez's third husband.

The couple cannot be married until Lopez's divorce from her second husband, dancer Chris Judd, is finalized in late January. Lopez filed for divorce in lat July, citing irreconcilable differences after less than a year of marriage.

Report has circulated that the couple may marry on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, and Lopez confirmed during the interview they visited a Boston church together recently.

The interview, taped recently in Manhattan and Lopez's old Bronx neighborhood, will air on Wednesday on ABC television's "Primetime: Special Edition."

ABC is a unit of Walt Disney Co..

Lopez turned to Judd after splitting with long-time boyfriend, rapper Sean "P.Diddy" Combs, during his much publicized trail in New York on weapons and bribery charges. Combs was later acquitted.

Her first marriage to Ojani Noa ended in divorce in 1998 about a year

Affleck, who shared best original screenplay Oscar with long-time friend Matt Damon for the 1997 movie Good Will Hunting, checked himself into a clinic for treatment of alcohol abuse last year.

Oh yeah baby, my favorite part. The part that's all about me and what I think, so you better listen. Jennifer Lopez...to like her, or not to like her. That's a complicated question for me. I dunno if i like her or not. I do enjoy the majority of her music...I haven't seen too many of her movies but I love Selena and The Wedding Planner...I heard Enough was good...but I dunno what I think of her. I do have her on my list of celebrities to add to the site...but maybe that's cuz I've spent hours scanning pictures and some of them were of her. I think she's okay...but I dunno...this P. Diddy Chris Judd Ben Affleck thing...hmm. I absolutely hate it when people go from person to person. I mean, if you have a relationship with someone and it ends...even if the end you come out hating that person...more than likely at some point in time you did love them...and even if you didn't you spent a good amount of time (but i jguess not in J.Lo's case) with them and you'd think out of respect for the time that you put into it that you would take a while to just get over it...even when there's nothing to get over. I just think it's disrespectful if not hurtful to break up with some one and then two weeks later have someone else...let alone marry someone else a few months later. That's gotta hurt. I dunno...but at least now we can call her Afflo.
