Flat Turtle

Did you know
that turtle's backs used to be a sound and high as a watermelon?
Once there was a turtle. Sitting in the shade of an old oak tree he happily past the hours of each day.
Along came a spider, who thought to himself, "Hmmm, what nice place to sit and rest."
So there he sat, on the back of the turtle.
Along came a Frog, who thought to himself, "hmmm, what a wonderful place to rest in the shade.
So there he sat, on the back of the turtle.
Along came a Rabbit who thought, "Hmmm, what a wonderful place to stop and have a nice little rest and chew on a carrot!"
So there he sat, on the back of the turtle.
Along came a Bear who thought, "hmmmmmm, what a wonderful place to take a snooze!"
So there he sat.
But as he sat
that turtle became soooo flat!
And that's how turtles became flat.
