| Let me take you back in time, To a place where you could run and be free, Feeling the gentle breeze through your hair, The heat of the sun upon your face. Think of those feelings long ago, Think of running and being free, Did you sing, smile, dance, laugh? Did you shout with love and joy? Let me bring you back to the present, Do you have the same feelings as then? If not, think about what has changed, The answer is simple, it's you. Do not fear or be afraid, Do not look at what is lost, Look to the loved ones you have made, Confide in them and trust. Today is a new beginning, The start to the rest of your life, Work hard in getting those once felt feelings, It is never too late to start. i can not take you to the future, For that has not been written yet, Though my words are simple and few, my own experiences have shown them to be true. |
