This is a picture of the REAL BDSM Emblem.
The colour of the rim and spokes are to resemble metal, in this case, gold, or iron for the emblem above. They are of UNIFORM WIDTH and the arms rotate clockwise.
The inner sections are black.
The holes in each section, ARE holes, and NOT dots.
The three divisions represent the various threesomes of BDSM.
1) The three divisions of BDSM, being B/D, D/S and S/M, or in other words, Bondage/Discipline, Dominance/Submission and Sadism/Masochism .
2) The three way creed of BDSM behaviour, being, Safe, Sane and Consensual.
3) The three divisions of the BDSM community, being, Tops, bottoms and Switches.

Below are three of many which are not the TRUE BDSM Emblem.
Celtic Triskele, originally represented the three phases of the Goddess in pre-Christian Celtic culture. Modern Pagans continue to use it as a symbol of balance among many of life's three-fold divisions
Triskele logo of the United States Department of Transportation.
Another form of Celtic Triskele.
As well as its basic celtic significance, this has also become a symbol for Breton Nationalism, a movement for political correspondence of the French region of Brittany, which has a Celtic background and culture.
