Paspalum dilatatum

Origin. South America.

Distribution in Canberra Region. Widespread, a dominant species in some damp disturbed areas.

Dispersal. By machinery, water and animals.

General description and biology.

Can grow to 1 m high. Leaf-blades broad (to 1 cm), often angled at mid-rib.
Inflorescence* has a number of racemes to 10 cm long, each with 2-4 rows of spikelets in rows along the under-sides.
