Solanum cinereum
Distribution in Canberra Region. Widespread but not very common
in the region.
Dispersal. Seeds are dispersed by wind, water and animals.
General Description and Biology
Looks like a solanum bush, up to 1 m or more high and wide.
Branches are very prickly (distinctive feature) with spines up to 1
cm long.
Has abundant fruits, green when young, yellowbrown when mature (distinctive)
2 cm diameter.
These later dry up and turn brown.
Can be thought to be exotic.
