Origin. Eurasia.
Distribution in Canberra Region. Invasive in woodland, grassland and riparian areas.
Dispersal. By wind, water and animals.
General description and biology.
Tufted; leaves 4-8 mm wide, up to 30 cm long.
Leaves bright yellow-green, prominently ribbed, flat and hairless. .
Seed-head long, narrow, loose, green to purplish, up to 20 cm long. .
A common lawn species and spreading from picnic areas. .
