Beltane marks the return of full-blown fertility. Spells appropriate for Beltane are similar to the spells performed for Ostara, fertility, growth, and prosperity. Beltane also marks the marriage of the God and Goddess. In ancient times, Beltane was celebrated by dancing around the Maypole. To get an essence of this, acquire various colors of ribbon and braid it for your altar set up. Also to connect with the energies of Beltane place some fresh flowers on your altar or in your cauldron.
Cast the circle light the incense and candles and place the crystal between the candles. Say:
"Gracious Goddess, Gracious God it is time again
Dance around the Maypole, let the celebration begin.
I mark Beltane and honor you this sacred day
In this renewal of springtime play.
The flowers are in full bloom
In the fields their colors do loom.
Bursting with the promise of growth
