First baseman Carl Yastrzemski slammed a homerun and Satchel Paige tossed a
complete game at Candlestick Park as the Cleveland Mayors lost a heartbreaker
to Hinckley Buzzards by the score of 4 to 3.

The game was decided in the 9th inning.  Roy Campanella delivered a solo blast
(his 24th of the season) making Hinckley the victors to the delight of the
home town faithful.  Hinckley had a total of 10 hits for the game.

Paige(2-7) lasted until the end allowing 3 runs for the win. Dwight
Gooden(4-7) was hit with the loss in relief.  He was unable to retire a
batter and surrendered 1 hit and no walks.
