Honus Wagner had 2 base hits as the Athens Bobkittens outscored the Lake Erie
Mohawks in 10 innings 3 to 2.

The score was knotted at 1 after nine innings.  Athens won the game in the
10th inning.  Billy Herman led off and started the rally when he drew a walk.
Ty Cobb next to the plate and he reached on an error.  Joe Harris then laid
down a sacrifice bunt.  Lou Gehrig followed and he was walked intentionally
to load the bases.  Mike Schmidt came to the plate and delivered a one-base
hit which was good for two runs.  The teams had been locked in a scoreless
duel until the 7th inning. 

Tom Henke(6-1) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. Henke got help from

Carl Mays who was credited with his 2nd save.  Hoyt Wilhelm(2-4) was tagged
with the loss in relief.
